A Bexar County deputy is facing termination after his arrest for assaulting a jail inmate. The inmate complained that 26-year-old Victor Collins assaulted him on Sunday. After an internal investigation, Sheriff Javier Salazar and Public Integrity Unit officers arrested Collins on Monday night. Salazar has reportedly issued Collins a notice of proposed dismissal. Officials say a second deputy who was also involved in the case has been terminated. That deputy's name hasn't been released.
