San Antonio police are investigating a shooting that left a 6-year-old boy hurt and a man critically wounded.
The victims were in a car outside of a church event going on at the Greater Faith Institutional Church the 4400 block of Lord Rd near Martin Luther King Drive and WW White Rd just after 3 p.m.
Police Chief William McManus says the man, his girlfriend and the boy had just pulled up when someone apparently waiting for them rushed toward the car and opened fire, wounding the man and boy in the process. It is believed the man was the target.
Police are searching for the suspect.
