$2 Million In Drugs Seized at Texas Border

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations officers intercepted cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $2 million in one enforcement action at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo.

“Our frontline CBP officers in the cargo environment effectively apply inspection experience and modern technology, which led directly to this significant narcotics interception,” said Acting Port Director Eugene Crawford, Laredo Port of Entry. “Seizures like this one underscore the reality of the drug threat and our commitment to the border security mission.”

Officers say they found a total of 104 packages with a weight of 264 pounds of alleged cocaine concealed within the trailer.

The narcotics have an estimated street value of $2,036,940.
