A new report says Texas has the ninth largest economy in the world. Yesterday, the San Marcos Corridor News reported that the non profit Texas Economic Development Corporation's report places Texas in ninth place based on 2019 gross domestic product data from the International Monetary Fund. This means Texas is ahead of Canada, South Korea and Brazil. Texas, with a GDP of 1.9 trillion, is just behind Italy's two-trillion and a step ahead of Brazil at 1.8 trillion.
