TEA Announce Grants For School Kids With Cognitive Disabilities

Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Education Agency are announcing a grant for children with cognitive disabilities and complicated educational needs. The Supplementary Special Education Services will allow children of eligible families to qualify for $1,500 to be used in the program's marketplace. Abbott and state leaders established the $30 million program last fall. Officials say at least 18,000 students with cognitive disabilities are eligible for the program statewide, and can apply for it online.
