Planned 64-Foot Tower Would Be Austin's Second-Tallest

A 64-story tower planned for a site overlooking Lady Bird Lake would be Austin's second tallest high-rise. The developer says the cost to build the tower in the Rainey Street District on the southeast side of downtown would be about $540 million, including acquisition of the land. M2 Development Partners is targeting April 2022 for the groundbreaking, and said the tower's name will be announced in the weeks ahead. The tower's expected opening date is the third quarter of 2025.
