Texas Congressional Delegation Goes Along Party-Line In Impeachment Vote

House Votes On Articles Of Impeachment Against President Trump

The Texas congressional delegation is taking a party-line approach to the second impeachment of President Donald Trump. All Texas Republicans voted against it, and all Democrats voted in favor. Two Austin-area Republicans still had some critical words for Trump. Rep. Chip Roy says Trump should be impeached, but not for the reasons House Democrats claim. Rep. Michael McCaul says Trump may have committed "impeachable offenses," but the process was too "hurried."
