Democratic Congressman Joaquin Castro, a native of San Antonio, will be one of nine impeachment managers in the days ahead. Speaker Nancy Pelosi named the panel of nine managers on Tuesday. Rep. Castro has been an outspoken critic of both President Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
"The president has made the case for impeachment himself, in how he has acted. He created out of thin air this conspiracy theory that the election was somehow stolen from him."
The managers will argue their case before the full Senate. Trump's lawyers will then present their rebuttal. Castro is the twin brother of Julian Castro, a former San Antonio mayor and failed 2020 Democratic presidential candidate.
