A veteran prosecutor will lead a new civil rights division within the District Attorney's office. Bexar County D-A Joe Gonzales announced on Tuesday that 61-year-old Daryl Harris will head the new division. Harris has been with the D-A's office for nearly 20-years, and has prosecuted dozens of important cases. The division was founded after the widespread riots following the death of George Floyd in Minnesota police custody last year. Bexar County Commissioners approved the division and allocated its funding.
