The Houston area is now above the hospitalization threshold that requires business reopenings to be rolled back. The Texas Department of State Health Services sent letters on Tuesday to the county judges of the nine counties in Trauma Service Area Q, telling them that coronavirus hospitalizations have been higher than 15-percent for seven straight days. Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery Counties are included in the area. At the seven-day mark, Gov. Greg Abbott's executive order requires bars to close, restaurants to cut capacity to 50-percent, and other measures. The order is effective immediately.
