A suspect is under arrest in connection with the kidnapping of a Harris County autistic six-year-old. Precinct Four Constable Mark Herman says Brandon Spears was captured this morning following a chase involving Houston police. Spears is accused of attacking the boy's mother before fleeing with her vehicle and cellphone near Spring. Herman says the mother helped them find Spears by tracking her cellphone. The boy is unharmed and back with his mother. An AMBER Alert, which was issued shortly after the boy disappeared, has been canceled. No word on bond.
