SMU Bows Out Of Bowl Game With UTSA Due To COVID Concerns

The UTSA Roadrunners will not be playing in the Tropical Smoothie Frisco Bowl on Saturday. Their opponent, Southern Methodist University, had to pull out because of coronavirus concerns. The news comes one day after the Roadrunners accepted the invitation to play the Mustangs in the Frisco Bowl. UTSA may still be invited to play in the First Responder Bowl on December 26th. That game has been played for ten years, and takes place on the SMU campus in Dallas.
