Study: 60-Percent Of Bexar County Deputies Unhappy With Working Conditions

An independent study says nearly 60-percent of Bexar County deputies are unhappy with working conditions on the streets and at the jail. The Bexar County Deputy Sheriffs Association commissioned the study from a sociologist, who found the deputies are stressed by long hours under difficult and dangerous working conditions. Sheriff Javier Salazar says deputies are working a lot of overtime in order to be in compliance with jail standards. He says the study reflects conditions that are common in law enforcement agencies.
