Local Administrative Judge Ron Rangel is expected to decide this week whether to extend Bexar. County's moratorium on jury trials. The measure took effect in March an effort to deal with the pandemic, and is scheduled to expire at the end of this month. Rangel is reportedly likely to extend the order. Some of the judges in the Bexar County Courthouse say they're ready to resume in-person jury trials for criminal, civil and misdemeanor cases, with safety protocols in place.
