Wolff And Others Express Concerns About Alamo Plaza Makeover Plan

Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff and other officials are having their doubts about parts of the Alamo Plan. Wolff, former San Antonio Mayor Phil Hardberger, and Phil Bakke, a former member of the Alamo Citizens Advisory Committee, contacted Mayor Ron Nirenberg on Wednesday to express their concerns about the 400-million-dollar makeover plan for Alamo Plaza. They don't like the idea of closing Alamo Street or fencing off the plaza. City Council is discussing what to do now that the Texas Historical Commission has blocked the plan to move the Cenotaph to make room for the renovations.
