Seven people in two states are under indictment for reportedly stealing millions in coronavirus relief funds. The Department of Justice says six Houston-area conspirators and one in Illinois sought millions of dollars from the Payroll Protection Program, which was set up to help small businesses harmed by the pandemic. The money was spent on luxury items such as a Lamborghini and a Porsche. Federal agents also seized 16-million-dollars. The local suspects appear in court today on charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
