Two of Bexar County's biggest school districts are continuing in-person teaching despite the recent resurgence in coronavirus cases. Northside and North East ISD are still offering classroom instruction to most students who want to return to campus. Last week, Metro Health set the risk level for schools at "moderate," meaning a recommended halt to sports and limiting in-person instruction to special-needs or at-risk kids, and those with no Internet. But, the health agency can only issue recommendations, not orders. District officials say they believe their schools are safe enough for students to return.
