San Antonio City Council Discuss What Next For Alamo Plaza Redesign

San Antonio City Council is trying to figure out what to do next with the $400 million Alamo Plan. The renovation plan calls for repairs to the historic buildings, a new museum, and a redesign of the plaza. But the plan depended on the relocation of the Cenotaph to the southern edge of the plaza. The Texas Historical Commission denied the city permission to move the monument. City Council held a special meeting on Thursday to discuss how to proceed, since details and the timeline of the plan will need to be changed.
