Parents Pull Student From School After Flu Shot Without Consent

The parents of a North East ISD student have removed their child from the district after he received a flu shot without their consent. District officials say the student, who was enrolled at Steubing Ranch Elementary, got the vaccination during the district's flu clinic on Tuesday. Representatives of the third-party vaccine administrator reportedly didn't verify that the student's name on a consent form matched the one they had called to the line. District officials say the student's name was similar to the one on the consent form.
