U.S. Senator Ted Cruz is accusing Twitter of acting like a Democratic super PAC. The Texas Republican told Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey he was concerned the social media company was silencing those who didn't agree with his political views.
Dorsey promised Twitter wasn't silencing anymore, while disagreeing with Cruz on whether the company could influence the election. Dorsey says there are multiple communication channels people can use. The hearing was called after The New York Post had their account locked for a story accusing Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden of corruption. Dorsey says the paper violated Twitter's policy on hacked materials.
