Texas is one of a number of states where Amazon plans to hire employees to help deal with increased demand over the holiday season. The online retail giant needs 100-thousand people to pick, pack and ship orders at warehouses. The top states hiring include Texas, California, Maryland, Georgia and New Jersey. The company went on an earlier hiring spree in March and April when the pandemic led to a surge in online shopping.
