The latest campaign finance reports show Democratic challenger MJ Hegar is fundraising more successfully than GOP incumbent Senator John Cornyn. Hegar outraised Cornyn by nearly 3-to-1 in the first two weeks of this month, nearly four million dollars to slightly more than a million. Hegar also ended the period with more than twice as much cash-on-hand, almost seven-million-dollars to less than four-million. Their spending during the two-week period was about the same. Cornyn continues to lead in the polls.
