San Antonio police say a burglar was shot and killed after breaking into a South Side apartment.
It happened at the Flats at Big Tex Apartments in the 400 block of Blue Star near Probandt.
Police said a man climbed onto the fourth-floor balcony of the apartment then broke in through the door.
The man who lived inside the apartment was able to get out and a neighbor with a gun went into the apartment and found the burglar. The burglar reportedly pointed a gun at the neighbor, who then opened fire killing the burglar. The burglar died at the scene. No one else was hurt.
