Starting today, San Antonio is returning to Stage 1 watering rules. The San Antonio Water System announced on Thursday that the move is necessary because of a lack of rainfall and unseasonably warm temperatures. The city spent the summer and most of September in Stage 1, which is triggered by water level conditions at the Edwards Aquifer. Outdoor lawn watering with a sprinkler or irrigation system is only allowed before 11 a.m. and after 7 p.m., one day a week, based on a water user's street address.
