Hurricane Delta is lashing the Louisiana coast with powerful winds as it moves inland. The storm made landfall as a category two, but has since lost some strength and is a category one storm. Wind speeds are falling, but they're still posing a danger for folks in the area. In Calcasieu Pass, winds were recently recorded gusting to 86 miles an hour. The storm is hitting an area of the state where Hurricane Laura hit back in August.
