Astros, A's Split Doubleheader

The Astros and A's split a doubleheader in Oakland. Khris Davis homered and doubled for the A's in a 4-2 win in the opener. Oakland served as the road team for the makeup game. Frankie Montas earned the win while Zack Greinke took the loss. The Astros erased a four-run deficit to win the nightcap 5-4 and end a six-game slide. Yuli Gurriel drove in the go-ahead run with a sac-fly in the seventh. Matt Olson homered for Oakland, which leads the AL West at 25-and-15. Houston is four-and-a-half games back.
