Classrooms Reopen As School Pandemic Risk Level Downgraded

Most local school districts are starting to reopen their classrooms to students as the city's pandemic risk level for schools has dropped from high to moderate. Officials updated the risk level, based on the latest metrics of the pandemic. The moderate level allows in-person instruction with priority on at-risk students, kids with special needs, and those who lack access to resources. Building and classroom capacity should be limited to 25-percent, with adequate ventilation and room for social distancing.
