Bexar County DA Joe Gonzales is not interested in getting any more police union endorsements or donations. He signed a letter with 40 other elected prosecutors saying it's time to examine the status quo. The group also raised concerns about whether elected officials become beholden to donors or endorsers including police unions. Gonzales and the other prosecutors also accused police unions of wanting to protect themselves.
