A Bexar County deputy is under arrest and out of a job after reportedly forging a county document in order to extend his sick leave. Sheriff Javier Salazar says 20-year-old Javier Cruz is charged with tampering with a government record. Investigators say Cruz was supposed to return to work on August 7th, but he falsified the paperwork to change it to August 27th. Salazar says Cruz admitted to the scheme when he was confronted about it. Cruz was fired and arrested on Wednesday.
