McCullers Shines as Astros Hold Off Giants

Lance McCullers Junior threw seven innings of one-hit ball as the Astros beat the Giants 6-4 in Houston. McCullers, whose now 2-and-1, struck out five in his effort. Carlos Correa had a hit and two RBI while Michael Brantley drove in two on a ground-ruled double. Houston is now 7-and-9. Austin Slater homered in the eighth and San Francisco tacked on three more in the ninth. Logan Webb took the loss, his first, giving up five runs, two of which were earned, on four hits over three-and-a-third. The Giants are 7-and-11.
