Cornerstone Church is suing city and county officials over a requirement for online-only teaching at all local schools, including religious ones. Pastor John Hagee filed suit on Friday against Metro Health, San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg, Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, and Police Chief William McManus. Metro Health earlier this month barred in-person classes at all schools in the county until after September 7th to slow the spread of the pandemic. The lawsuit is seeking a court ruling to allow Cornerstone Christian Schools to conduct classroom teaching prior to that date.
