Kelly, Diamondbacks Shut Down Rangers

Merrill Kelly worked into the eighth inning and allowed one run on three hits in the Diamondbacks' 4-1 triumph over the Rangers at Arlington. He struck out seven and walked one. Stephen Vogt and David Peralta delivered run-producing hits. Rougned Odor homered for the lone Texas run. Isiah Kiner-Falefa's first-inning throwing error allowed two Arizona runners to score. Kyle Gibson took the loss, giving up three unearned runs in five innings.
