The Austin Convention Center is ready to care for coronavirus patients. The pop-up site has room for 1,500 patients if needed. But the number of new cases has started to drop just this week, and health officials say they hope the extra space won't be needed. The average number of cases being reported daily is down to around 57 as of today.
