A person is dead after getting shot during a Black Lives Matter demonstration in Austin. Police say officers were watching around 100-people who were marching down Congress Avenue last night before 10:00-p.m. when shots rang out. The victim is thought to have been carrying a rifle when he approached a vehicle from which shots were fired, hitting the victim. EMS transported him to the hospital where he died. KXAN reports the suspect was detained and is cooperating with investigators. No one else was injured in the shooting.
