Despite her lopsided loss in the runoff election for Bexar County GOP chair, Cynthia Brehm is refusing to certify the results. Brehm claimed in a news release on Thursday that the County Elections Department had committed several irregularities that left the election "severely compromised." Her opponent, John Austin, received nearly two-thirds of the vote. The state election code says the party's state chair may carry out administrative duties of the county chair that aren't done in the time required by law.
