Some Local Religious Schools May Start Classes With Kids On Campus

Some San Antonio-area religious schools may start in-person classes weeks before public schools do the same. Metro Health has forbidden in-person teaching at public or private schools any time before Labor Day because of the pandemic, but Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says such local orders don't apply to religious schools. The Archdiocese of San Antonio says its schools will be prepared to offer both virtual and actual classes when they open August 17th. Cornerstone Christian Schools will open that same day with kids in classes. The San Antonio Christian School is still considering the alternatives.
