Former Doctor Accused In Guadalupe County Double-Murder Found Dead

A former doctor being held in the murder of a couple has died after apparently committing suicide in his cell at the Guadalupe County Jail.

Robert Fadal, who was charged in the shooting deaths of Anthony and Tiffany Strait more than 2 years ago was found unresponsive in his cell after apparently hanging himself.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office released the following statement:

"An inmate at the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center was found unresponsive in his cell with a hand-made ligature around his neck.Robert Fadal was found by staff during a cell check and immediate life saving measures were attempted and he was transported to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased by JP-2 Sachtleben. The inmate Robert Fadal was in custody for a Capital Murder from February 25th, 2018 on Timber Elm in Guadalupe County. Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and the Texas Rangers were notified of this incident. The case is being investigated by the Texas Rangers."
