Bexar County grand jurors who served during the pandemic will receive some extra pay for stepping up. County commissioners voted unanimously on Thursday to pay nearly $12,000 to the members of two grand juries, or an extra $65 a week for each juror. The juries had been serving when a moratorium on jury service was ordered in March, and they agreed to serve another two-months. Local Administrative Judge Ron Rangel suggested to the commissioners last week the jurors should receive hazard pay.
