Lighter traffic during the pandemic means local roadwork projects are starting and finishing ahead of time. Bexar County Public Works Director Renee Green says a mile-long reconstruction project on Binz-Engleman was scheduled to start in summer but was bumped up to April. A nearby middle school had been shut down, so there was no school traffic in the area. Green says the project was expected to take three or four weeks, but it was done in eight-days. She says a couple of other major projects are also ahead of schedule.
