A now-former Bexar County Sheriff's deputy is under arrest in connection with the beating of an inmate. Sheriff Javier Salazar says Jean Camacho-Morales turned off the lights to a shower unit so other inmates could attack the victim earlier this week.
Camacho-Morales is also accused of letting inmates clean up the scene before asking for help. He's accused of official oppression, tampering with government records, and assault. The victim should survive but no word on a motive.
