First Texas Execution Since Start Of Pandemic

Texas death row is back in business for the first time since the pandemic started. The state executed Billy Joe Wardlow on Wednesday evening for an armed robbery and murder he committed in East Texas in 1993. The U.S. Supreme Court denied Wardlow's late appeals just after 6 p.m., the scheduled time for the lethal injection to be administered in Huntsville.
