Lance Lynn was sharp in the Texas Rangers' intrasquad game yesterday. He worked six innings, struck out eight and walked none, while making more than 80 pitches. Lynn will start the Texas June 24th opener against the Rockies.
The Rangers have three off-days in the first 11 days and could start Lynn in five of the first 18 games by keeping him on an every five-day schedule. Manager Chris Woodward told Grant is being discussed.
The Rangers open with five straight home games and play 10 of their 16 at Globe Life Field.
