Austin ISD's teachers union is calling for 100% online classes to start the school year. Education Austin says the classrooms should not be open for the first nine weeks of the school year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The union is also calling on AISD to use public health data before deciding whether to open up schools. Classes are set to begin in mid-August.
