San Antonio police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a field on the Southeast Side. Officers responded about 8:30 a.m. Sunday to the feeder road of the East Loop 410 near I-37 after a man believed to be the victim's friend reported the location of the body. Police found the woman, who appeared to be in her early to mid-30s, shot dead in a nearby field. Her name hasn't been released. Investigators say they believe the shooting happened overnight. They haven't found a gun or identified a suspect.
