The Border Patrol says it stopped a big human smuggling attempt this week in Texas. It happened Monday while agents were searching a semi truck at a checkpoint north of Laredo. The agency explained 29 illegal immigrants were found hiding inside. The individuals were from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. The Border Patrol argued smugglers are putting people's lives in danger between the coronavirus pandemic and high summer temperatures.
