San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg reports more than a thousand COVID-19 patients are now hospitalized in Bexar County.
The county saw an increase of 53 hospitalizations on Wednesday, increasing the total of those hospitalized to 1,019. 29% of all hospital admissions are now coronavirus patients.
324 patients are in ICU, with 175 on ventilators
Officials are reporting an additional 439 overall cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 12,504 since the pandemic began.
Metro Health is also reporting an additional death, bringing the death total to 111.
