Freeman Coliseum Could Be Used If Hospitalizations Continue To Rise

As coronavirus hospitalizations continue to surge, San Antonio officials say the city is preparing to possibly have to use Freeman Coliseum as a place for patient overflow.

Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff says a plan is in the works and it could take up to ten days to get everything operational, but the facility will be ready should it be needed.

Some beds are already there, but other preparation needs to take place.

Officials are now working on plans on staffing should the city get to that stage of hospital needs.
