Texans Urged To Fill Out Census Forms

A census-boosting organization is making a virtual tour of the state this week to encourage Texans to fill their census forms. A spokesperson for Texas Counts says only about 56-percent of Texans have filled out the paperwork, making the state 40th in the nation. At stake is a share of 675-billion federal dollars that are going to be distributed to the states. The virtual tour ends Friday in Central Texas and the Hill Country. People who don't return their census forms can expect a visit from a masked and socially distanced census taker in August.
