Coronavirus related hospitalizations are continuing to increase in the Lone Star State. Texas saw a record number of patients hospitalized again on Friday. It's the fourth day this week that the number has hit an all-time high.
The Texas Department of State Health Services said Friday COVID-19 hospitalizations were up to 2,166 cases, which is 158 cases more than the day before. Also, the state has about 14,000 hospital beds and 5,800 ventilators for use.
