A Texas State University employee who reportedly referred to Black Lives Matter protesters as a "bunch of monkeys" no longer works at the school. TSU officials confirmed Wednesday that Stacia Brassell, an administrative assistant for the university's facilities department, is now seeking opportunities elsewhere. Brassell reportedly made the remarks last week in a Facebook post concerning a Black Lives Matter protest in San Marcos. Brassell also threatened to spread coronavirus if she attended a protest.
